Claude Greymander III            

Claude is an adventurer at heart.  In body, he is less than an imposing figure, and in mind, he is often childlike.  He is no simpleton despite his unkempt appearance and often unexplained mannerisms.  He is a person who believes there is more to life than making a living and that there is always something better to do.

           

His life began in a normal middle class family with his father running a fishing business.  Early on, Claude realized that his was not the life for him.  Forced into working for the family business, it wasn't long before he started looking for a way out.  Despite not liking the job, he has learned to be a competent sailor.

 

Growing up, his grandfather regaled him with stories of his adventures.  It was there early stories that would shape the future for this would be adventurer.  AS soon as he was able, he began to apprentice for a gnomish alchemist in Port Talp.  In between fishing trips and the different seasons, he worked as much as he could soaking up all that his master could teach him.  He has a great vision for these types of things, but often times lacks the common sense and wherewithal to realize the danger that they pose.  His enthusiasm for the craft of Alchemy was not dampened in the least when an unfortunate accident cost him two fingers.

 

Upon the death of his grandfather, he received some of the equipment that his grandfather had used in his adventures.  It was at this point that he decided not to wait another day longer than he already had to before he started his life of adventure.  He collected his equipment and started to prepare for whatever adventure came his way.  It was not long before he saw what he had been waiting for his whole life.  WANTED: Skilled, Brave, Adventurous...that was it and before the sun began too rise on the next day, he was headed out with his trunk.  A world of possibilities had just opened up for him and he left his old life behind with visions of something better dominating his thoughts.
