Trutholder

The faith of Han~Sui holds several tenants very dear: honor, skill-at-arms, and truth.  Those that place truth as the most important of those tenants often become Trutholders.  The Trutholders are a group which seeks an obvious goal in the name of Han~Sui, and in turn in the name of the Counsil.  Where the truth of the deities exists, no enemy can gain power.

Trutholders come from every culture and race that has followers of the deities of the Counsil.  They are not commonplace, nor is it easy to become a Trutholder.  Every cleric of Han~Sui that wishes to become a Trutholder must undergo many trials performed by the clerics of Han~Sui and Everentual.  These trials take at least one year, during which time the Trutholder is bound to the service of the temple where he is undergoing the trials.

Once finished the trials, a Trutholder will take his place in the temple hierarchy.  Some travel to cities and lands that do not have a Trutholder to set up new temples.  Others spend their lives hunting down those that spread lies and anarchy.

Class Features

bullet

Command Honesty: By imposing his will upon another, the Trutholder may force that being to tell the truth.  The being in question receives a Willpower saving throw at a DC equal to the Trutholder levels + cleric levels + Charisma modifier + 10, to avoid this effect.  He may use this ability at will; with no limit on how many times per day he may use it.

bullet

Extra Zone of Truth: The Trutholder may cast the spell Zone of Truth one extra time per day per Trutholder level.

bullet

Compel Presence: By imposing his will upon another, the Trutholder may force that being to remain in his presence.  The save to avoid this effect is the same as the save of the Command Honesty ability.  If the Trutholder harms or threatens the target of the compelling, then the effect is broken.

bullet

Know Law: The Trutholder has become so well versed in law that he receives a +5 competency bonus to all Knowledge (Law) skill checks.

bullet

Command Honesty 2: This ability is the same as Command Honesty except that it may be used on up five beings at once.

bullet

Sense Illusion: The Trutholder is able to sense tricks and deceit that go on around him.  Whenever the Trutholder is presented with an illusion, the DM should roll a secret check for the Trutholder.  This is a perception check, which has a DC equal to 15+ the level of spell that created the illusion.  The DM adds the level of the Trutholder and his Wisdom modifier to the roll.  If the Trutholder is successful, he becomes aware the illusion.

bullet

Compel Presence 2: This ability is the same as Compel Presence except that it may be used on a number of beings equal to 3x the Trutholder’s charisma modifier.

bullet

Destroy Illusion: Whenever the Trutholder is confronted with an illusion; he may attempt to destroy it.  He may only make one attempt per illusion.  The Trutholder makes an opposed check against the creator of the illusion.  The Trutholder adds his level and his Charisma modifier to the roll, while the caster adds his casting level to the roll.  If the Trutholder wins the roll, the illusion is destroyed.

bullet

Weapon Restriction: The Trutholder is proficient in all simple and martial weapons.

bullet

Armor Restriction: Trutholder is proficient in all forms of armor and shields.
